Exhausted
It's been a long month. I've done a lot of work on this site during August. At times I've felt quite proud of all that I've done.
Other times I feel like it's been what, a losing battle?
Just finished about 7 hours worth of work reviewing all 500 or so listings that were in the British Columbia region. This involves
me visiting each site and checking to see if it's still around, whether the firm has changed name or location and making changes
accordingly. It's a slow, thankless task, but I've not found a way to automate it that truly works. And ultimately, it's that
hand-made touch that distinguishes this site from others like it, doesn't it?
So, for all of you who might think I keep adding and adding firms to raise that total number and in the meantime leave all sorts
of broken links across the site... that's not true. I removed about 100 firms from British Columbia. Nearly a 5th of the listings
have gone defunct in the last couple years.
Where have all the firms gone? Why didn't you tell me you were leaving?
