Behind The Firm List Blog
50,000 emails in 6 years?
I've been doing a little cleaning of my files related to The Firm List. It always helps to apply some
organization to the mountain of records that this site generates. In doing so, I am quite overwhelmed
by the volume of emails, submissions, etc. that The Firm List has generated in the last 6 years.
Sometimes I have to stop myself and think that there are millions (if not billions) of people in the world
who have still never sent a single email. There's countless more who have done nothing more than
send two (Bill Clinton) or send a handful from AOL over the years.
But how do you compare to a man (myself) who in 6 years has sent 12,573 emails just welcoming a firm to
The Firm List? That's not even a drop in the bucket in terms of emails I've sent for The Firm List. I've
sent at least 9,500 emails regarding random requests, questions, etc. Both of these is then only a fraction
of the emails I send for all my purposes.
And all of that volume and I'm not even a SPAMer. Sure, I could send a million email in a day if I was
one. And they'll certainly have larger numbers than I will. But we're talking about ethical, meaningful
emails.
