The Firm List Events - Orlando
I went to Orlando this past week to attend the HOW Design Conference put on by the publishers of HOW magazine. It was a big splurge
for me, seeing as I am unemployed and was paying for it out of my own pocket. I had never been to a conference like this, and what
finally convinced me to go to this one is that one of the pre-conference add-ons was a behind the scenes Disney design tour. That
combined with the chance to go to DisneyWorld after the conference had me sold.
So I went, spent the money and had quite a lot of fun. I don't think I networked as much as I should, but that's not really me, is it?
There was a wide mix of design types there, not really web-focused by any extent of the imagination. Which was good, I didn't want to
just hear/see web stuff.
Prior to going, I set up a few events for people attending the conference or web professionals in the Orlando area to attend. I wasn't
sure what to expect in terms of turn-out, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Not sure if I'll be attending this or any other conference anytime soon. Someday, perhaps. Hopefully I'll have a job by then and
they'll help pay for it.
And hopefully I'll have some more of these events in the future, it was fun!
