		Behind The Firm List Blog Introduction Welcome to another feature of The Firm List. Some of you may know a bit about this site, who built it, etc. But I imagine a great number of you do not know anything about what or who is behind The Firm List, which is why I am creating this section to give a glimpse into what it takes to expand and maintain this site. History The Firm List was created in April, 1998 .... blah blah blah. This information can be read here. What I want to reinforce is that this is a spare-time project that I created with no expectations or plans that it would ever grow to this size or popularity. Thus, it was not built with any of this in mind, nor did it have a large budget or team of people to properly engineer it. That's not to say that over the years I haven't done my best to streamline both the internal processes and the site itself. I think I have in fact done a very good job. That's often reflected in the very fact that most people think there's a company or team of people behind this site. It's flattering, to a point. The Firm List and my other projects are also a statement I have been trying to make since at least 1996, and that is about the value of independent projects and publishers, and that much of the best work is done by passionate individuals without thought of money, fame or fortune. User Feedback I want to state & reinforce that the most important factor in the future viability of this project, is to continue to get the feedback and comments of the community of users who interact with this site.
